Kozhikode, Jan. 1 -- The convict in the Perinthalmanna Drishya murder case, who escaped from the Kuthiravattom Government Mental Health Centre in Kozhikode, remains at large even two days after the incident.
The escaped prisoner, Vineesh, allegedly fled late on Monday night by drilling a hole in the washroom wall and scaling the compound wall. This marks the second escape by Vineesh from the same facility. He had earlier escaped in August 2022 and was later arrested in Dharmasthala, Karnataka.
Despite the issuance of a lookout notice, police have so far failed to gather any leads. CCTV footage from the Kuthiravattom area, Kozhikode Railway Station, and the bus stand has been examined, but no useful clues have emerged.
