Mumbai, June 28 -- Authorities have apprehended seven Bangladeshi nationals, including six women, from various locations across Mumbai and Pune for residing in India without valid documentation, police said on Saturday.

The operation began earlier this week when MIDC police arrested Bayajid Khan (24) from Palghar. Investigations revealed Khan had entered India illegally via Guwahati, Assam, and was residing in Andheri western suburb. During interrogation, Khan admitted to facilitating accommodation and employment for six Bangladeshi women in Pune and Mumbai.
