Nashik, Nov. 26 -- MIDC Police Station Sub-Inspector Raju Brijlal Patil (42) was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a complainant.
According to the sources in ACB, the complainant's son has been arrested by the police based on a complaint registered against him at the MIDC Police Station.
The complainant had approached Patil who demanded a bribe of Rs 1.60 lakh in order to make the case weak while filing the chargesheet sp that his son can get bail as soon as possible in this case.
However, after bargaining, the complainant agreed to pay an amount of Rs 1 lakh.
Then the complainant contacted ACB and informed them about this.
