Kolkata, Sept. 13 -- The police today said the clash between victim Manjeet Jadav, who was stabbed to death at Dakshineswar Metro station, and accused Rana Singh stemmed from abusive remarks Jadav had made about a girl known to Singh.
According to investigators, Jadav had allegedly passed offensive remarks about a girl known to the accused last Wednesday, leading to a quarrel and even a physical fight.
Despite this, the two continued going to school together. While returning from school yesterday afternoon, they boarded the Metro from Shyambazar with several friends.
