Agartala, April 25 -- Tripura police conducted a late-night search on Friday at Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of South Tripura Gaurav Ravindra Wagh's official residence in connection with a Rs 60 lakh money trail hours after a local court ordered five-day police remand for a relative of the officer.

Police sources said initial findings revealed multiple documents suggesting the accumulation of funds from various field-level forest officers. The investigation stems from an incident on April 23, when Wagh's relative identified as Rajendra Chintaman Kaklij was apprehended at Agartala railway station, while attempting to board a Mumbai-bound train with cash in suspicious manner.
