Sydney, June 26 -- Police in Sydney have launched an investigation after gunshots were fired towards a home in the city's northwest.
A statement from police in Australia's state of New South Wales (NSW) said today that officers were called to reports of shots fired at a house in North Kellyville, 30 kilometers northwest of central Sydney, around 11 p.m. local time yesterday.
Officers found that windows and doors at the front of the home had been damaged by several bullets.
Three people, two men and a woman, were inside the home at the time but were not injured in the shooting.
A short time later, emergency services were called to reports of a car fire in a neighboring suburb.
