Kabul, July 8 -- In a drive against illegal drugs, personnel of counter-narcotics police destroyed illicit drug crops in the Northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan Province.
On Tuesday, provincial police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said that, police teams were deployed to destroy hashish farms in Badakhshan province on Monday.
The campaign formally began from Wardoj and Darayem districts, the official said, adding that the drive would last until the province becomes free of all illegal crops, including hashish and poppy.
