Banda, Jan. 15 -- A shocking incident of domestic violence came to light in Banda district, where a police constable allegedly attacked his wife and three-year-old daughter with an axe, killing the child and leaving the wife critically injured.
The accused constable fled the scene after the attack, and his mobile phone was later found near a river, raising fears that he may have jumped into the water, police said on Thursday.
According to police, the incident took place in the Marka Kotwali area, around 70 kilometers from the district headquarters.
