Mandya, Aug. 20 -- A police complaint has been filed in Mandya against three YouTubers - Girish Mattanna, Mahesh Shetty Thimarody and Sameer - by BJP workers for allegedly spreading false information and running a smear campaign against Dharmasthala on social media platforms.
The complaint was submitted to the Superintendent of Police by BJP workers led by district spokesperson C. T. Manjunath.
The complainants alleged that despite an SIT probe establishing that recent allegations about illegal burials in Dharmasthala made by a person named "Maskman" were false, the three YouTubers continued to propagate misleading narratives to malign the revered religious institution.
