Warsaw, July 30 -- Poland wants the European Union to abolish visa-free travel with several countries, Polish Deputy Interior Minister Czeslaw Mroczek said on Wednesday.

"We will seek to end the visa-free regime for several countries within the framework of the Schengen Agreement," Mroczek told the RMF FM radio station.

The official did not name the specific countries with which Poland would seek to end the visa-free regime, saying, however, that Warsaw had already ended visa-free travel for Colombian citizens.

"Based on its migration experience, Poland already introduced visas for Colombian citizens last year," Mroczek said.
