Warsaw, June 1 -- Poland will hold the second round of the presidential election on Sunday.

Ruling coalition candidate Rafal Trzaskowski, who won the first round with 31.36% of the votes, and opposition-backed Karol Nawrocki, who came in second with 29.54%, will face each other in a final showdown.

The contenders have clashed on multiple issues, including Poland's policies within the European Union, national security and social values.

The race is expected to be tight, as opinion polls show a roughly even split between the two.
