Moscow, Aug. 21 -- - Poland scrambled its fighter jets and allied aviation in response as Russia staged its biggest hypersonic missile barrage on Ukraine since Putin met Trump last Friday.
"Aircraft of the Polish air force and allied aviation are operating in Polish airspace. In accordance with the current procedures, the operational commander of the armed forces has activated all the forces and means at his disposal. Fighter jets on duty were scrambled, while ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on high alert," the Polish Defense Ministry said on social media.
