Warsa, April 28 -- Poland and the United States have signed a new agreement on the construction of Poland's first nuclear power plant (NPP), Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Monday after his talks with US Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

"We have changed many key points in 16 clauses. The guarantees are stronger and the investment is more secure. This cooperation will result in the construction of a nuclear power plant in the north of our country ... As a result of the efforts of both sides, it is safe to say today that Polish-US cooperation in the field of nuclear energy is going well," Tusk said.
