Bengaluru, March 14 -- The Karnataka High Court on Friday stayed the trial court's February 28 order that had taken cognisance of a sexual harassment case filed against former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

A special trial court handling POCSO cases had summoned Yediyurappa in connection with allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards a 17-year-old girl. The former Chief Minister was directed to appear before the court on Saturday.

Challenging the trial court's order, Yediyurappa moved the High Court, which granted him interim relief by staying the proceedings.
