Pune, March 10 -- The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) will inspect the Baner ramp of the double decker flyover at Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk within seven days following concerns about a possible structural defect.
PMRDA commissioner Abhijit Chaudhari said the authority's chief engineer would conduct an on-site inspection and take necessary action if any defect was found.
The issue was raised by former corporator Sunny Vinayak Nimhan, who submitted a memorandum to Chaudhari seeking a technical inspection of the structure. The Baner ramp is part of the double decker flyover project built by PMRDA to ease traffic congestion in Pune.
