New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- Officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and the Airports Authority of India met at the Prime Minister's Office late Tuesday evening to discuss IndiGo's recent flight disruptions and review steps for addressing passenger complaints on refunds, missing baggage, and airport crowd management.
The discussions followed an earlier meeting between Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, who was called in by the ministry.
After the meeting, the minister ordered a 10% cut in flight operations and reviewed IndiGo's response to passenger concerns triggered by the cancellation of over 5,000 flights since November.
