New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today in connection with a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case related to the online betting app, 1XBet.
Dhawan is currently being questioned by a team of senior officials, who are recording his statement in the matter.
The investigating agency suspects that Dhawan had links with this app through certain advertisements and promotions. Earlier, the ED had questioned former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina in connection with the case. The betting app had appointed Raina as its brand ambassador in December last year.
