PM to visit Arunachal on Monday, to lay foundation of 2 key hydropower projects

Itanagar, Sept. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura on Monday.

In Itanagar, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 5,100 crore, a statement from the PMO said.

The Prime Minister will address a public function in the Arunachal capital and lay the foundation stone of two major hydropower projects-Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW)-to be developed in the Siyom sub-basin. With a combined investment of more than Rs 3,700 crore, these projects will harness the State's vast hydroelectric potential and promote sustainable energy generation.
