New Delhi, July 25 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu on July 26 and 27 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for infrastructure and development projects worth over Rs 4,800 crore. The visit comes soon after his return from the UK and Maldives.

On July 26, the Prime Minister will address a public event in Tuticorin, launching a slew of road, rail, port, aviation, and energy projects aimed at boosting connectivity and economic growth in southern Tamil Nadu, said a PMO statement today. The following day, July 27, he will attend the Aadi Thiruvathirai Festival in Tiruchirappalli, marking the 1000th anniversary of Rajendra Chola famed maritime expedition.
