New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth around Rs 2,200 crore during his visit to his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on August 2.

The initiatives span sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, education, healthcare, urban development, and heritage conservation.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office said that among the key highlights are road upgrades across rural and urban corridors, railway overbridges, and major works under the Smart Distribution Project to strengthen the region's power infrastructure worth over Rs 880 crore.
