Patna, Sept. 23 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Chief Minister Women Self Employment Scheme on September 26 and will transfer the first installment to the beneficiaries, marking a historic step towards women's economic empowerment in Bihar.
Official sources said here today that under the initiative, the first installment of Rs 10,000 each will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of 7.5 million women through an online event. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will participate as the chief guest.
According to official sources, the government will disburse a total of Rs 7,500 crore in the first phase. The scheme is designed not merely as financial assistance but as a pathway to self-reliance and dignity for women.
