Chandigarh, Aug. 16 -- Haryana's road infrastructure is set to achieve a new milestone as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two major highway projects on August 17, aimed at significantly improving connectivity for Sonipat and Bahadurgarh.

Addressing a press conference here today, Chief Minister Saini said that the Prime Minister will inaugurate six road projects worth about Rs 11,000 crore, two of which directly benefit Haryana.

These two projects, costing around Rs 2,000 crore, are part of the Urban Extension Road-2 (UER-II) initiative. He noted that they will greatly reduce traffic congestion and connectivity challenges in the NCR.
