Bengaluru, April 16 -- In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' address spotlighting a mounting textile waste crisis, BBC Media Action on Wednesday launched a sustainability campaign in Bengaluru placing waste pickers at the heart of the city's circular economy.

As part of the 'Got Old Clothes?' campaign under the ongoing Invaluables initiative, the organisation unveiled a fabric business card handcrafted by waste picker families using discarded clothes. The symbolic card not only serves as a contact tool but also reframes waste pickers as 'Invaluable Recyclers', professionals equipped with the skills to recover and recycle textiles that would otherwise clog landfills.
