Thimpu, Nov. 12 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday departed for New Delhi, concluding a two-day state visit to Bhutan that reinforced the strong strategic partnership between the two nations.
In a special gesture, the Bhutanese King personally came to see off PM Modi at the airport.
"This visit will further deepen India-Bhutan friendship and advance cooperation across multiple sectors," the Ministry of External Affairs said.
During the visit, he inaugurated the 1,020-MW Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project, built with Indian assistance, and held extensive talks with His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
