New Delhi/Johannesburg, Nov. 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called on G20 member nations to adopt a unified global framework to ensure the responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the curtains came down on the summit boycotted by the US - the next country to lead the bloc.

Addressing global leaders at the third session of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, PM Modi emphasised the need for technology to serve humanity rather than purely financial interests and advocated a "human-centric" approach to critical technologies.

The Prime Minister stressed that emerging technologies must shift from being "finance-centric" to "human-centric," and from "national" to "global" in orientation.
