Bhubaneswar, June 7 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to visit Odisha on June 20 to attend the first anniversary celebrations of the BJP government in the state.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari told reporters here on Saturday that the Prime Minister will participate in the mega event organised by the state government to mark the completion of one year in office.

Earlier, Odisha Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra had informed the media that the Prime Minister had given his consent to attend the event, which was initially scheduled to be held at Janata Maidan on June 12.
