New Delhi, Sept. 27 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha today to lay the foundation stones and inaugurate a series of development projects collectively valued at over Rs 60,000 crore.

The projects, spanning across multiple sectors including telecommunications, railways, higher education, healthcare, skill development, and rural housing, will be launched at a public function in Jharsuguda, said PMO in a statement here.

In a significant push to rural connectivity and digital inclusion, the Prime Minister will commission more than 97,500 4G mobile towers constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 37,000 crore, utilising indigenous technology. Over 92,600 of these towers have been installed by BSNL.
