Guwahati, Feb. 2 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Assam on Saturday on a two-day visit during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects totalling Rs 11,599 core, state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.

Addressing a press conference at Lok Seva Bhawan in Dispur about the Prime Minister's visit, Sarma announced that Modi would land in Guwahati at 7-30 p.m. on Saturday. On the same day, he would hold a meeting with the BJP state core committee.
