Bengaluru, Aug. 3 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-anticipated Yellow Line of Bengaluru Metro on August 10, marking a major leap in the city's public transport infrastructure. The announcement was made by Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya, who thanked the Prime Minister for prioritising the city's mobility needs. The 19.15-kilometre Yellow Line stretches from RV Road to Bommasandra and includes 16 stations, constructed at a cost of Rs 5,056.99 crore. Once operational, it is expected to cater to nearly 8 lakh daily commuters and significantly reduce traffic congestion, particularly at the infamously choked Silk Board junction.
