New Year, Jan. 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Gujarat from January 10 to 12, during which he will participate in a series of religious, cultural, developmental and diplomatic engagements across Somnath, Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, a government release said on Friday.

The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Somnath on January 10, arriving in the evening. At around 8 pm, he will take part in Omkar Mantra chanting at the Somnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and a symbol of India's civilisational heritage. This will be followed by a drone show at the temple premises, highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of the historic shrine.
