New Delhi, June 6 -- Putting all speculation to the contrary to rest, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the G7 Leaders' Summit in Canada next week, after having received an invite from Canadian PM Mark Carney.
PM Modi received a call from Canadian PM Mark Carney today, inviting him to attend the June 15-17 G7 Leaders' Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta.
The invite from the Canadian PM and PM Modi's attendance marks a thawing in the relations between the two nations that had seen a sharp downward spiral under previous prime minister Justin Trudeau, over the latter's championing the cause of the Khalistani elements.
