New Delhi, Nov. 28 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka and Goa today to take part in the 550-year celebrations of the Shri Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math and unveil a 77-feet bronze statute of Lord Ram.

The Prime Minister's programme will commence at 11:30 am in Udupi, Karnataka, where he will visit the historic Sri Krishna Matha, founded over 800 years ago by Sri Madhvacharya, proponent of the Dvaita school of Vedanta.

PM Modi will take part in the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana, a grand devotional gathering where one lakh participants, including students, monks, scholars, and citizens, will recite the Srimad Bhagavad Gita in unison.
