New Delhi, Feb. 6 -- Replying to the discussion on Motion of Thanks to the President's address in Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a blistering attack on the Congress party and highlighted the achievements of his government.
Following his reply, the Motion of Thanks to the President's address was adopted by the Upper House. The amendments moved by the Opposition members were negated by voice vote.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar then adjourned the House for the day to meet on Friday (February 6, 2024).
During his nearly 2-hour speech, Modi attacked Congress left, right and centre blaming its policies for slow economic growth in the past.
