Hyderabad, May 10 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said Telangana's development was crucial for India's progress while virtually inaugurating and laying foundation stones for multiple projects worth around Rs 9,400 crore in Hyderabad.

Addressing a gathering at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), the Prime Minister said Hyderabad holds both national and global importance and that the projects launched would help transform Telangana into a major manufacturing hub while generating thousands of employment opportunities.
