Samastipur (Bihar), Oct. 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a high-energy election rally in Samastipur of Bihar, launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), symbolised by the 'lantern', asserting that the state no longer needs "lanterns and their allies" in the age of digital light and connectivity.
Addressing the cheering crowd, Modi asked people to switch on the flashlights of their mobile phones. "Everyone, take out your mobile phones and turn on the light. Now tell me, when every hand has light, do we still need a lantern?" he said, drawing thunderous applause from the audience.
