New Delhi/Gujarat, Jan. 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday performed puja at the Somnath Temple in Gujarat and took part in events marking the Somnath Swabhiman Parv.

The Prime Minister also held a Shaurya Yatra in Somnath as part of the four-day programme being observed from January 8 to 11. The event marks 1,000 years since the first attack on the Somnath Temple in 1026 and is being commemorated across the country.

The PM also offers tributes to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
