Mumbai, Oct. 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate today the final segment of Mumbai Metro Line 3, popularly known as the Aqua Line, marking a major milestone in the city's transport infrastructure.
The project represents India's first fully underground metro corridor, designed to ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time across Mumbai's north-south stretch to just 54 minutes.
The newly completed 10.99-kilometre stretch from Worli (Acharya Atre Chowk) to Cuffe Parade includes 11 stations connecting key locations such as Mahalaxmi, Mumbai Central, Grant Road, Girgaon, CSMT Metro, Churchgate, and Cuffe Parade.
With this addition, the entire 33.5-kilometre Aqua Line from Aarey JVLR to Cuffe Parade is now ready for operation...
