Arambagh, March 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stone of multiple projects worth Rs 7200 crore in Arambagh of West Bengal on Friday.

The projects are related to various sectors like rail, ports, oil pipelines, LPG supply, and wastewater treatment across West Bengal.

Addressing the gathering, Modi noted the rapid growth of 21st-century India and the resolution of making India Viksit by 2047.

He said the government at the Centre always strived for the welfare of the poor and due to its policies and decisions 25 crore people are coming out of poverty.

The Prime Minister said the Central government strived to modernise Railways in West Bengal.
