New Delhi, Sept. 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the sudden demise of renowned singer Zubeen Garg.
Posting on social media platform X, he said, "Zubeen Garg will be remembered for his rich contribution to music. His soulful renditions were loved by people across all walks of life. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti."The popular singer from Assam and youth icon died at the age of 52 while scuba diving in Singapore. Garg sustained injuries during the dive and was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away in the intensive care unit during treatment. He is survived by his wife.
