Bhimavaram (Andhra Pradesh), March 8 -- Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to provide 33 percent reservation for women.
The Union Minister, flanked by Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, Collector Chadalavada Nagarani and Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Ashmi, flagged off a rally to mark the International Women's day at Prakash Chowk here on Saturday.
Large number of women and girl students participated in the rally raising slogans and holding placards emphasizing women should play a lead role in all sectors. The rally concluded at Alluri Sitarama Raju memorial.
