New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said India's manuscripts, which preserve its culture and traditions, are the 'footprints of humanity's entire journey of development.'Speaking on the second day of the three-day international conference on Gyan Bharatam here, Modi also highlighted the enduring richness of India's knowledge tradition, attributing it to four foundational pillars-preservation, innovation, addition and adaptation.

"India's manuscripts, which preserve its culture and traditions, are in fact the footprints of humanity's entire journey of development. Our knowledge tradition continues to flourish because it rests on four fundamental pillars-preservation, innovation, addition and adaptation," he said.
