Guwahati, Aug. 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are likely to visit Assam by the end of this month and early next month, respectively.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced this on Friday during a press conference at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Guwahati. He said Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive on August 29, while Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit on September 8 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several key projects.
