Patna, Aug. 22 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Aunta-Simaria bridge project on NH-31, which includes a 1.86 km six-lane bridge on the Ganga river.

PM Modi, along with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, attended the inauguration of the bridge amid the great enthusiasm of the local people present there. A large number of women attired in traditional dresses performed folk dance, singing songs in the local dialect, to welcome both the leaders.

Modi inaugurated the bridge by cutting the red ribbon while Chief Minister Kumar was standing by his side. After the inauguration, both leaders took a stroll of a few steps, triggering cheers from the local people.
