New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today exhorted citizens to actively participate in the ongoing e-auction of mementos he has received during various public functions, noting that proceeds from the auction will go towards the Namami Gange Mission, a flagship initiative of the government aimed at the rejuvenation of the Ganga.
Over 1,300 unique gifts and artifacts ranging from cultural treasures, sports memorabilia, handicrafts and devotional artifacts are on the display at the National Gandhi Modern Arts Gallery here for bidding. The e-auction provides citizens across India and abroad an opportunity to own a piece of national heritage while directly contributing to the Namami Gange Project.
