Varanasi, Aug. 2 -- In an indirect reply to the US over tariff dispute, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called for taking a pledge for Swadeshi and use only 'Make in India' products.
The Prime Minister also criticised the opposition particularly the Congress and Samajwadi Party, over their negative attitude on Operation Sindoor and said they had insulted the Indian Army.
Addressing a public meeting at Banauli village in Sevapuri the Prime Minister said citizens too have certain responsibilities. He described Swadeshi as anything made with the ''sweat and effort of an Indian,'' calling upon the nation to adopt the mantra of "Vocal for Local."
