Ranchi, Jan. 4 -- Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Babulal Marandi on Sunday raised serious questions over the implementation of the PESA Rules in the state, accusing the Hemant Soren-led government of diluting the original spirit of the law and betraying the interests of the tribal community.
Marandi said the PESA Rules have been implemented after tampering with their core intent, which amounts to injustice and manipulation against the Adivasi society. He asserted that the BJP would not tolerate any such injustice or "hera-pheri" committed in the name of empowering tribals.
