Beijing, Dec. 29 -- The PLA Eastern Theater Command has dispatched its Army, Navy, Air Force, and Rocket Force troops in the Taiwan Strait to conduct drills code-named "Justice Mission 2025," showcasing its assertion over the island nation, which Beijing claims "is a sacred and inseparable part" of its territory.
The drills also serve as a warning to outside forces against supporting Taiwanese independence.
The exercises serve as a stern warning against "Taiwan Independence" separatist forces and external interference, and are a legitimate and necessary action to safeguard China's sovereignty and national unity, Shi Yi, spokesperson for the theater command, said.
