Malappuram, May 7 -- RMP leader and Vadakara MLA K K Rema has demanded that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan resign from his MLA post, taking moral responsibility for the Left Democratic Front's crushing defeat in the Kerala Assembly elections.
Talking to newspersons after meeting Muslim League state president Panakkad Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal in Malappuram, Rema said the CPI(M) had suffered major setbacks even in its traditional strongholds and martyr villages such as Kayyur and Karivellur, reflecting deep public anger against the ruling front.
