Lucknow/New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- A photograph of a tiger from Pilibhit Tiger Reserve has won an award at the Global Big Cats Photography Competition held in New Delhi during the Wildlife Week.
The event saw over 1,400 entries from across the world, including 70 from Uttar Pradesh.
Photographer Jitendra Chaware received a cash prize and a four-day stay at Jagir Manor, Dudhwa.
Organised by the International Big Cats Alliance, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Arts Maestro, and the Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board, the competition highlighted India's growing stature in wildlife photography.
