Pilibhit (UP), Sept. 15 -- In the wake of the change of power and incidents of recent violent demonstrations in Nepal, the Pilibhit administration, in collaboration with the police, has increased security on the Indo-Nepal border, senior officials said here today.
District Magistrate Gyanendra Singh and SSP Abhishek Yadav said that the police and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) teams are continuously patrolling the border areas bordering Pilibhit district.
The DM and SSP said that Pilibhit's 54 km-long international border is connected to Nepal. Violent incidents started after the ban on social media platforms in Nepal.
